My Top 8 Cleansers

Kicking off a mini series around the skincare product I love and today we’re talking cleansers!

Ever since my late 20s, I’ve been pretty diligent about taking care of my skin. You’re never too young to take skincare seriously, at least I don’t think so. Because of this, I’ve used countless products either to combat aging and fine lines, minimize pores and shine, or to reduce acne – I’ve tried it all. Not really but almost.

Throughout the next few months, I want to dedicate posts specifically to skincare and the products that worked for me. As part of that little series, today I’m’ going to be sharing about my favorite cleansers. Cleansing the skin and removing makeup is the first step in caring for your skin and an essential one at that. Before we jump in, I did want to share a reminder that cleansers should never leave your skin feeling dry or ridiculously tight. Ideally you want cleansers that are moisturizing and leave your skin supple.

My Top 8 Cleansers

1// Good Molecules Pineapple Exfoliating Powder – I wasn’t going to originally include this powder but I think an exfoliator needed to be in the mix. I’ve chatted about this exfoliating powder cleanser before in this post  and I’m a fan. Again, this exfoliator smells like baby puke BUT I can’t deny that I love it. It’s formulated with Vitamin C, fruit enzymes and rice powder to brighten, soften, and gently exfoliates.

2// Strange Bird Inner Clarity Cleanser – This is another product I’ve talked about before (here). This one is so cool because it serves as a facewash, mask, AND exfoliator! Soo innovative! The fact that I can slather this product on and leave on for a few minutes, exfoliate my skin to remove dead skin, and rinse off to find my skin super soft and supple is great. This is such a great addition to my cleaning arsenal.

3// Tula Purifying Face Cleanser – The way cleanser makes my skin feel after use is A+. My skin feels balanced out and extra hydrated which is something you should look for in a cleanser.

4// Bliss Clear Genius Clarifying Gel Cleanser – I love how gentle this cleanser is to the skin, not to mention it’s a clean product. When I have texture I know that I can rely on this cleanser and that texture is gone.

5// Story Cleanser – This is a recent addition to my cleanser arsenal but it has quickly won me over. This product is so incredibly creamy and so nourishing to the skin. Ingredients include coconut oil, jojoba seed oil which does wonders to the skin, and other safe and natural preservatives.

6// Kylie Skin Foaming Wash – This is one of my favorite cleansers. It does a great job at removing makeup and everyday environmental stressers. I love that it’s liquid in the bottle but comes out as a foam which is really cool. It’s infused with kiwi seed oil, Vitamin C and E which helps improve elasticity.

7// dr.brandt Pore Purifying Cleanser – So this product is great for oily to combination skin and acne prone skin. It’s meant to unclog pores, eliminate excess oil, and reduce shine which speaks to my skin. I love how this feels and it lathers so good.

8// Clear & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser – This is my most used cleanser. I use this every morning in the shower after I cleanse with any of the options above (yes, I double cleanse, it’s a thing). My skin always feels squeaky clean plus moisturized with is a kickass combo. Another plus – it’s a drugstore product.
