Dressing for two is quite the feat, especially when
you’re still keeping the news under wraps. Add the fact that this is my second
pregnancy and I was panicking at the fact that I was showing far sooner than I was
with my first. But I did what Tim Gunn would do and made it werk! Today I thought I’d share a few tips that I utilized to keep my growing
baby bump a secret for just a little bit longer.
- Billowy Blouses and Tunics – Since they’re
meant to be flowly versus form fitting, no one will suspect the tiny bump
hiding underneath. Target has a bunch of cute peasant-type tops and tunics at a
low cost. - Boyfriend Blazers – Because they’re intended to
be oversized, boyfriend blazers are a perfect way to hide a bump and add an
extra layer of intrigue to your ensemble. - Shirt Dresses – The loose shape help conceal bloating
and a bump and looks cute with all types of footwear! - Prints & Patterns – A great way to keep
things discrete is by adding some patterns and graphics to your outfit. A floral
top, stripes, geometric shapes – these prints create an illusion that makes it
hard to see the appearance of a baby bump. - Statement Jewelry – bold earrings or a
statement necklace bring everyone’s attention away from your midsection. - Low-rise Denim – I’m a high-waist denim lover,
so when it came time to trade them in I was sad to see them go. My suggestion
for a growing bump would be to make use of your low-rise denim options so that
the bump lays on top and then just rubber band to the button loop, if needed.
