Dare I say it, have I outgrown my love for Converse sneakers? No, that would never happen! I’ve been a Converse girl all my life and that will never change, but I have added some additional mom-friendly footwear to my collection. My most recent addition are these classic black and white Vans, perfect for running around with kids yet still stylish.

My Converse sneakers have always been my go-to’s – they are great to dress up with skirts and dresses but you can also wear them for every day momming. Last year I added my Adidas Superstar to the mix and they are probably my most comfortable shoes. So much cushion yet super cute! I think these Vans are a great hybrid of the two – super comfortable yet with a little added flair!

I have grand plans for this pair of Vans! For their inaugural spin I decided to mom them up and pair them with my current favorite distressed denim and a graphic tee I picked up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. What I love most about my favorite mom-friendly sneakers is that they are considered “fashion sneakers,” or “casual sneakers.” They add an easy, casual feel to your outfit without feeling like you came straight from the gym. If you haven’t noticed, with the exception of my pink high top Vans (worn here), I tend to keep my sneaker collection neutral. This way they can be styled countless ways with my wardrobe without clashing or being too busy.
