Denim Shorts Review and Try-On

Denim shorts season is almost here, so let’s get prepared shall we?

I recently picked up a few pairs of denim shorts from Abercrombie and Agolde to try out and see if the hype was real, specifically for the Agolde pair, so I thought I share my review. Some were winners, some were major busts, but here are my thoughts.

Agolde Long Parker Shorts – I had really high hopes for the Agolde shorts because everyone speaks so highly of the brand. These just didn’t fit my body right. The quality of the denim was on point and I loved the wash but there was tons of gapping in the back. I wish it was more nipped at the waist. I usually size up for shorts and did with these (a 30) so they fit is TTS to my shorts size.

Agolde Parker Distressed Shorts – Just like the pair above, there was good but there was more bad. Too much material in the waist to make me keep either pair of these. Fit is TTS (30 – my shorts size).

Abercrombie Curve Love 4 inch High Rise Mom Shorts – I love Abercrombie curve love jeans and shorts because they are made for my body type, the waist being smaller than the hips. These fit me so well. Fit is TTS (30 – my shorts size).

Abercrombie 4 inch High Rise Mom Shorts – I loved the way these fit. They were perfectly synched at the waist but had a enough leg room to not be overly tight, which I really liked. I needed a medium wash denim short and these fit the bill. I ended up keeping these. I’m wearing a size 29 so they fit TTS to my jean size.

Abercrombie Mom Shorts – These are my favorite shorts from last summer and for good reason. They fit me like a glove plus I don’t feel like they cut off my thighs which is a plus. The denim is soft, the distressing is just right, and the wash is perfect for summer. Fit is TTS (30 – my shorts size).

So the final verdict, Abercrombie yes, Agolde not worth the money. But that’s just my thoughts, others can have different experiences and body types and that’s perfectly okay.
