What to Wear: Thanksgiving Dinner

When it comes to Thanksgiving there’s one mission – look cute without putting too much effort all while hiding a food baby. It’s that simple! I guess that’s technically two missions, isn’t it? In honor of Turkey Day right around the corner, and of course the kick-off to the holiday season, I thought I’d round up a few outfit ideas perfect for the upcoming turkey binge! From a formal dinner with family, to a fashionable Friendsgiving, to what to wear the day after for leftover dinner – here are three scenarios most of us prepare for this time of the year. Or in my case, I have to dress for all three occasions.

Sweater | Faux Leather Leggings | Coat | Booties | Earrings

This first outfit is probably my favorite. It is totally something that I would wear for Friendsgiving with my girlfriends and our families. It give the illusion that you put effort into looking cute but in reality you’re keeping it cozy while looking glam at the same time. Now that’s an outfit formula I can stand behind! In fact, this may just be what I’m wearing for this weekend…

Dress | Faux Leather Jacket | OTK Boots | Necklace

Does your family hold a semi formal dinner like mine does? If the answer is yes, then this may be the outfit for you! Moody florals perfect for Fall plus over-the-knee boots (at a killer price point!) keep things fun while still dressing up.

Sweater | Denim | Bomber Jacket | Scarf | Ankle Boots | Hoops

Last but not least, an outfit that needs no real explanation but I’m giving one anyways, LOL! We enjoy a second Thanksgiving dinner with my husband’s family, but unlike mine, the attire is a lot more casual. And because it is I don’t dress up at all I just keep it hella cozy! A velour sweater? Heck yes!
