It wasn’t that long ago that I posted my June Small Goals, yet here we are in Q3 – the kick off to the second part of the year. As the world slowly opens back up again, I find myself having a busy weekend schedule. I haven’t decided yet if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. As an extrovert it’s obviously great, but as someone who is scared from the last 18 months in lockdown, I’m a little weary to go back to normal as if a deathly pandemic didn’t happen. But I digress. In lighter, less dooms-day news, let’s jump in to recapping June’s Small Goals, shall we?
June Recap:
1.Actually get back on the newsletter game. I can finally cross this off my list! Yahoo! While I only sent one newsletter last month, I definitely consider that a win after not sending one since March. Yep, you read that correctly – the last newsletter went out four months ago. Trust me, I’m not going to make that a habit.
2. Clean out and organize my closet. Yet another goal I can consider completed! I got rid of a lot of stuff that either doesn’t fit, no longer suits my style, or no longer serves its purpose. Sure, there are a few items I’m hoping to fit back into but I’ve already made a promise to myself that I’ll donate if they don’t fit by the next clean out.
3. Register Remy at her new school. I am 3 for 3 ladies and gents! I’ve got all the paperwork filled out, I just need to drop it off at her new school, which is happening tomorrow. I’m so happy to finally have this goal done, it was daunting because I hate paperwork just as much as I hate folding laundry.
July Small Goals:
1.Clean out the kids’ closets. I cleaned out my closet and now it’s time to do the same for the kiddos. Their closets and dressers are overflowing with clothes that no longer fit them or are out of season, so it’s time to purge big time.
2. No Shop July. I try to set this goal at least once a year. I *think* not shopping in the month of July should be easy because I no longer need to fill gaps in my summer wardrobe. Plus, I really want to save money to stock up on fall favorites!
3. Social media detox. This is another goal I try to set for myself at least once a year. I spend a lot of time on my phone, like a ridiculous amount of time. I’m hoping to spend at least one day this month offline with a goal for three days. Maybe not consecutive, but still.
