If you’re out east like me, then you know – summer is over and fall is HERE. I don’t hate it.

Tomorrow is the official first day of fall, and for the first time in years, the weather is reflecting as such. Hooray! Usually during this time of the year, it’s still nice and hot out delaying fall until late October. But it’s 2020 and there are no rules, so I’m guessing the weather gods wanted to cut us some slack. Nonetheless, this will probably my last summer outfit until next year. And I’m okay with that.
This past weekend was the first “busy” one I’ve had since…February? My cousin and her fiancé hosted a little BBQ to celebrate the upcoming nuptials, and it was to get dressed up for a change. It was also nice to be around my extended family which I hadn’t seen since before the pandemic. Next weekend is the wedding, so it’ll be both strange and fun to see people. But don’t worry, we are social distancing as best we can, and it’s a small wedding.
This fall weather has me a little melancholy. You see, I’m happy for my favorite season but I’m also aware that’ll be different from year’s past. There probably wont be any pumpkin patches or fall festivals, but I’m determined to make it something memorable for the kids. We’ll see what I come up with. Maybe I’ll work on an alternative Fall Bucket List – pandemic edition. LOL!
What about you, do you have anything special planned for the fall?
