Playing Dress Up

Don’t let these photos and this outfit fool you. I didn’t venture out into the real world this weekend like everyone else did.

So the world is slowly opening up again, but what does that mean? Did you venture out of your house this past weekend? I saw many people I follow on IG hit up wineries, outdoor patios, and even some house parties. That’s bold…? Me, I spent time outdoors with the kids in our backyard and found no real excuse to get fancy but to snap some photos. Yep. That’s me.

Honestly, I did venture out last week to enjoy takeout at a friends house. But really, that’s as daring as I think I can get right now. The Rona is still a real thing that can be contracted, not to mention that there isn’t a vaccine yet. With kids and an anxious husband, I have to keep those in my inner circle safe and secure, so the large gatherings and restaurants are going to have to wait. Does that sound paranoid?

But like I previously mentioned, I did want to get dolled up just to snap pictures of this darling dress I snagged a few weeks ago. Sure, there isn’t anywhere for me to wear this beauty right now, but I can always play pretend, right? Right! I just can’t say no to a sweetheart neckline (or for that matter, a square neck, too). Plus, this stunner was in my power color, so I couldn’t pass her up!

So, I’ll continue to play dress up in the comfort of my own home. Not gonna lie tho, the countdown is on for kicking social distancing to the curb!
