Per Instagram request, here’s the try-on I shared over the weekend including a few other online purchases.
I’d like to start off by saying, we are in a global crisis right now. If frivolously shopping for yourself isn’t in the cards, please don’t take this post as an urging to do so. I’m sharing this for two reasons, 1) because this space is meant to be an escape from all the chaos and uncertainty we’re dealing with in our real lives; and 2) if you are able to shop right now, I still want to be a resource for you. Plus, a ton of y’all voted for me to put this up on the blog as a reference from my IG Stories try-on.
This try-on was done about a week and a half before staying at home became the norm. I had completely forgotten about it until recently when I was cleaning out my phone. So I hope you enjoy. Here are just a few items I was able to try on in-store pre-COVID, in addition to a few items I purchased online and just had to share!
*For sizing reference, I’m 5’8″ with a pear-shaped frame. I’m currently a size 6/28/S-M.

EV1 from Ellen DeGeneres Love Repeat Safari Jacket – This was a winner! Such a great piece at a fantastic price point! Fit is true to size (TTS) and it comes in camo and khaki.
Time and Tru Women’s Striped Wrap Top – I was pleasantly surprised by this top. It comes in tons of different solid colors and a few different prints. It has a button closure at the v-neck for modesty and a side button. The waist is elastic as well as the sleeve cuffs. Fit is TTS.
Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara Rosa Curvy High Waist Destructed Ankle Jeans – These jeans were as expected. Plenty of stretch, high-waist, and a raw hem. I definitely recommend sizing up 1, these jeans run small.
No Boundaries Juniors’ Tie-Front Cropped Button Down Top – I’m still kicking myself a little for not snagging this top. It’s so darling for spring! Fit is TTS, buttons are functional, and it’s a tad sheer so I recommend wearing it with a nude bra.
Striped Embroidered T-Shirt – I was a big fan of this tee. It reminds me of something I would be able to find at Madewell. Fit is TTS and the material is soft.
Girlfriend Short – These shorts were nothing to write home about. The inseam was about 2 inches long which is a little short for me. There was some stretch but I would still recommend sizing up at least 1 full size.
EV1 from Ellen DeGeneres Preston High Rise Skinny Ankle Jean – These were another surprise. They were high-waist plus the hem was long which I loved. Fit was small so I recommend going up one.
No Boundaries Juniors’ Elevated Burnout Tie Front Pocket Tee – This was a basic tee but you can never have enough basic tees, am I right?! Fit was good, although I sized up for a roomie fit. I also loved the tie front.
No Boundaries Long Sleeve Belted Button Front Midi Dress – This was a great dress. Fit was nice and the material was super soft. Note that the buttons were not functional. It comes in roughly 4 different colors, this was the dusty rose.
J.Crew Wide-Leg Pants – If you are contemplating snagging these, I suggest doing it NOW. These wide-leg pants are currently on sale for $35. I recommend sizing down one because there is plenty of stretch. As a note, the stripes are navy. FYI – the tee was not part of the try-on but you can shop it here.
Old Navy V-Neck Flutter-Sleeve Romper – I love this romper and foresee tons of wear out if this little number. Especially if we’re at home, it’s super comfy and easy! Also, it has pockets! I stuck to my true size, however, I did get the “tall” version which I definitely recommend if you’re 5″8′ or taller.
Old Navy Fitted Crew-Neck Tie Dye Tee Dress – I’ve always been a big fan of Old Navy’s t-shirt dresses, however, this is the first time I’ve gone with the “tall”. The material is super soft and stretchy. And again, if you’re on the tall end, I suggest getting the “tall” option.
