Spring, is that you? Probably not, but Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow last month so I’m hoping you do make an early appearance as promised. I sure as hell know I’m not the only one longing for warmer days. I’d at least like to ditch my heavy-duty coat for a lighter denim jacket if that’s not too much to ask for. In celebration for the new month, HOORAY, I thought it’d be fun to share a few fun things to add to your March calendar! Read on to check out the list.
// Celebrate International Women’s Day: IWD is just around the corner, so why don’t you tell the women in your life how much they mean to you! Attend a women’s networking event, throw a party at work (we are!), shop a women-owned business, donate to your local women’s shelter – there are endless ways to support the female community this month (and every day)!
// Spring forward and change your clocks: Daylight saving time is March 8th so remember that clocks move forward by an hour. Don’t forget your microwave, house clock, and oven;)
// Spring clean: A new season is on the horizon which means it’s a great time to spruce up your home. Tackle your coat and linin closets, the pantry, and all the random drawers around the house.
// Start figuring out Spring Break plans: Both Kevin and I work outside of the home, and unfortunately, don’t have funds to take a trip during Spring Break. But that doesn’t mean planning isn’t required. Whether you’re planning a trip or camps for the kiddos, start NOW.
// Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day: Are you as corny as I am and wear green up until St. Paddy’s Day? Gear up and wear your green, hit up a local pub, and do fun crafts with the kiddos!
// Celebrate Spring: The official first day of spring lands on Thursday, March 19th so get ready! Hit up your local Trader Joe’s and pick up some flowers, change out your door wreath, and get your rain gear ready for a new rainy season.
// Start transitioning your wardrobe: Sure, this might be premature but it’s never too early to bust out the florals and start sprinkling in your spring wardrobe into your closet.
