How to wear clothes that empower you to be the best version of yourself. Yep, clothes can do that!

I remember hearing a quote about personal style that really stuck to me – “Fashion says ‘me too while style says ‘only me.” I’ve said it many times before, clothes aren’t about fashion to me, it never has been. But style? It’s personal, it’s intimate, it’s expressive, and it should be dynamic. It basically allows you to communicate who you are to those around you without using words. Not to mention, to me, getting dressed is a great way to lift my mood and confidence!
If you haven’t heard already, my Word of the Year for 2020 is intention and every day, while I’m getting dressed, I think about the intention behind my wardrobe choice, i.e. how I’d like to present myself on that particular day. Meaning, I’m dressing the part I want to play – serious businesswoman, whimsical creative, adventurous mom! I use clothes and my personal style to empower me to become the woman I want to be. It’s ‘fake it, till you make it’ mentality at a whole another level.
All that to say, I am digging these pants so hard! I feel like they help define who I wanted to be on this day – unique, bold, experimental! They are just so fun and I’m so happy they found a place in my wardrobe! They’re from NY&Co which I’m excited to be partnering with for the next few months! And I’ve got a fun offer for y’all! You can get $15 off orders of $30 or more with code NYCOFANS. I love that they have celebrity collaborations with women I admire, like Gabriel Union, Eva Mendez, and Kate Hudson! These pants are part of the Kate Hudson collab, HappyXNature! So many great boho-inspired pieces which is totally right up my ally!
So let’s recap here – 1) I want to encourage you to wear clothes that empower you to be the best version of yourself; 2) if you want to lift your mood or your confidence, don on clothes that make you happy; and 3) have purpose and intention behind what you wear – it’s a representation of you!
