A long-awaited review of the Spanx faux leather legging + 3 ways to rock ’em!
I’m sure you’re familiar with the infamous Spanx faux leather leggings. If you’re not, how have you managed, LOL!? The idea of faux leather leggings can be intimidating at first, but once you get used to the idea, they’re like styling a regular pair of black leggings, but more badass! Today’s post will consist of one part review, one part outfit inspiration on how to rock the Spanx faux leather leggings.
Spanx Faux Leather Leggings Review
For reference: I weigh roughly 145 lb, 5’8″ and typically wear a size 6/8 or size small, depending on the brand.
I’ve owned my pair of Spanx for a little over 2 years now and they are still holding up pretty nicely. I have a size medium and only recommend sizing up if you are in-between sizes, otherwise, stick to your standard size. However, before making the investment, I suggest checking the sizing guide (especially if you are petite) as well as the care instructions.
I love these leggings for several reasons, one of which is the fact that they combine shapewear and edge into a leisure piece of clothing. Not to mention they are high-waist which this momma can totally appreciate! I also love that they feel like a second skin, they aren’t too thin but they are substantial enough to work for cold weather.
Personally, I think they are comfortable and wear mine pretty often throughout the fall and winter months. They also come in a variety of colors and there is also a moto faux leather pair that I’ve got my eye on. Like I mentioned before, I’ve owned my Spanx leggings for several years and think they still have some mileage left in them before I have to replace them.
