School is back in session which means we are back to our family routine. If you’re anything like me, having a routine is a good thing but it does take a toll on my sanity. Working full-time, keeping three humans alive and healthy, running this blog as a side hustle, and trying to juggle all the responsibilities that society deems necessary can be a lot to handle which is why we make it a big deal to celebrate the little victories in our every day. How? One of our favorite ways is by taking the time to reward ourselves. In our house, a reward is usually a little taste of heaven which include Dewey’s Bakery soft-baked cookies!

These soft-baked cookies are like none other, I’m not even exaggerating! Remy is quick to ask for dessert if she successfully eats all her dinner without us having to nag her (#momwin), and a Dewey’s Bakery soft-baked cookie is her dessert of choice. Theo is always right behind her, with a smile on his face and his hands ready to receive his treat. As a mom, I love that these decadent cookies are made with clean ingredients so I don’t feel guilty indulging in a cookie or…three! DSC_0533

DSC_0506-1 I think it’s important to commemorate the daily victories because they are a reminder of the good things in life. It’s so easy to dwell on our mistakes which is why acknowledging our victories is essential. Getting everyone dressed, fed and out the door on time – WIN; having my boss congratulate me on a job well done – WIN; avoiding road-rage while in bumper to bumper traffic – WIN! Small wins give us the strength to try to accomplish more and reach further every day. They are so important in the process of growth!

Another way we like to celebrate small daily wins is by making them a big deal. As a mom, this isn’t necessarily for my sake but for my kids. Getting kids excited for the small stuff is a way of keeping them happy and enthusiastic about life throughout life. Us adults tend to glaze over things in an attempt to impress other adults. Anyone else think that’s stupid?! I do which is why I tend to make small things a big deal. Let’s bask in the victory of having achieved something small, I promise it’ll increase your level of happiness. DSC_0497 So this is me telling you to slow down, celebrate life and enjoy the sweet moments! And why not celebrate the small things in life with a sweet treat from a family-owned business like Dewey’s Bakery?! It is so important to stay happy and motivated in life and you can totally do this by celebrating small daily victories. Plus, you can enjoy the magic of Southern Bakery treats conveniently, no matter where you’re located!
