Ah, the belt bag. A trendier piece to add to your wardrobe but the question stands: is it worth it? If you ask me, obviously the answer is yes! Whether I’m rocking my Madewell one around my waist or swinging my Target one over my shoulder, I really do think the belt bag is a trend anyone can rock and not look like they belong in the 80s.

Mom or not, I love how functional and practical a belt bag is. It can carry all my essentials (wallet, phone, and keys) and allow me to be hands-free which is a major win! I also love that, when rocked around the waist, it can add shape to an otherwise frumpier outfit and accentuate your figure! Ok, enough rambling. Here are 3 ways to rock a belt bag like a pro. Note, I meant to have SIX outfits for y’all but Theo woke up from his nap and I didn’t have time to drum-up three more looks.

Pairing one trendy piece (the slit midi skirt) with another trendy piece (the belt bag) may be a risk but one you shouldn’t be scared to take. Go big or go home! This is a great in-between transitional weather outfit for this time of the year. The skirt runs a tad small so I suggest going up a size, I’m in the medium.

Another fall-inspired look perfect for this weather. I love how the belt bag adds a waist to this t-shirt dress. This outfit would be great for a winery visit!
