A Farewell to Summer

Okay, so fall isn’t necessarily here yet but today technically ends summer vacation. That counts, right? Right!

I know what you’re thinking – here on the northern hemisphere the first day of fall isn’t until September 23. But for parents and teachers, today marks the end of summer. You see my friends, today is the first day of school for my county. So while fall is still a little less than a month away, summer is technically over. OVER?! Dramatic? Maybe, but I’m still in shock I have a first grader so I’m allowed to be dramatic.

I wore this outfit during our family vacation to Lake Tahoe (see everything I wore here). The dress, which is unfortunately no longer available but I included some cute dupes below, was the perfect frock for dinner on the water and a sunset stroll on the beach with the fella. It screams summer which is why I am already challenging myself to style it up for fall!
