Everything I bought from this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale + my thoughts on what I’m keeping and returning.
So if you’ve been living under a rock then you might not be aware that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still going strong. But time is running out because prices skyrocket back up on August 5th! Today I’m sharing everything I bought during the sale plus my thoughts on what I’m keeping and returning. Read if you’re interested.
Chelsea28 Ruched Waist Minidress ($49.90) – So I have been going back and forth on this one. I absolutely love the colors and the print, the ruching in the mid-section is also very flattering, but the fact that it’s so short makes me sad. This dress is about 2 inches out of my comfort zone when it comes to minis. As a tall girl, 2 inches make all the difference. If you are shorter than 5’7″ I highly recommend this dress, fit is true to size, if you’re interested. After a lot of thought, I decided to return.
Sam Edelman Hiltin Knee High Boot ($149.90) – Another almost winner. The material is buttery soft, the shaft height is pure perfection, and it fits true to size. But I can’t get past the fact that these boots are not practical for my every day. While I do think I’d get a lot of wear out of these boots, I can’t justify the price for what I’m actually looking for. I’m looking for something with a lower heel.
Vince Camuto Nestel Knee High Boot ($159.90) – If you haven’t noticed, I’m searching for tall fall boots and thought this one would fit the bill. Unfortunately, these boots are being returned. While I love the color, the material, and the heel height, I don’t like that they hit me in the middle of the knee. They are not quite over-the-knee boots and are too tall to be riding boots. Otherwise, these boots are super cute! I recommend sizing up 1/2 a size, these boots run small.
Levi’s Faux Leather Moto Jacket ($99.90) – I have been on the hunt for a faux leather jacket now for almost 3 years and I’m happy to report the search is over! Gah, this jacket is everything I’ve been looking for. The material is buttery, and I love the subtle crocodile pattern. It has a fair amount of hardware without going overboard, plus I appreciate that it doesn’t come with a waist belt. I also like that it’s cropped in the back and comes at an angle for a longer front. I sized up to a medium for arm length and it fits great. This jacket is a keeper, for sure!
PIKOLINOS Pyrgos Laceless Oxford ($109.90) – These were an impulse by influenced by another blogger but I’m so happy I got them. These oxfords will fit well into my everyday wardrobe and they are SUPER comfortable. The color is the perfect shade of cognac and I love that they look cute with jeans, dressy pants, and dresses! Fit is true to size.
Sam Edelman Leahla Slouchy Boot ($149.90) – Another tall boot contender that didn’t make the cut. I loved the color and shaft height of these bad boys but the heel height was a little too tall for my liking. I’m looking for something I can pair with everything, from dresses to jeans to leggings, and that can be functional for busy mom weekends as well as work.
I also got this Tucker & Tate Rainbow Graphic Hooded Denim Vest Jacket for Remy and she loves it! I saw it and knew it would be an instant love a first sight item for my girl that’s obsessed with rainbows.
