These empties posts don’t happen often but when they do they’re fun to put together! I like reviewing why I would repurchase, or not, a product because it gives me a sense of what I’m looking for in my skincare. The older I get, the more cutthroat I am about my process. Only the best survive!
I recently finished up both my daytime and nighttime moisturizers, at the same time!? That’s like using up shampoo and conditioner at the same time, which let’s be real, never happens. But I did and today I’m going to be talking about each product. In a fun twist, I’ll also be chatting about the moisturizers I’m going to be replacing them with! Read on for the scoop!
The Empties
Olay Total Effects Whip Moisturizer – This is my daytime cream and I cannot say enough great things about this product! First off it has SPF 25, which if you take anything from this post let it be that you should use moisturizers with SPF in them. If not, still use an SPF before applying a cream. This product is very hydrating but not oily, it blends into skin flawlessly. This is really great for the summer months, too! VERDICT: I’ll definitely be repurchasing later on down the line.
Kiehls’ Ultra Facial Cream – This stuff is sooo good! I love this cream because it’s extremely moisturizing and leaves my skin baby soft. I use this as my nighttime moisturizer for that extra boost of hydration the next day. VERDICT: I’ll definitely be repurchasing later on down the line.
The Replacements
BeautyCounter’s Rejuvenating Day Cream – This is a best seller for good reason! I’ve only been using it for a few days now but I’m loving it! It hydrates the skin, which is what I look for in a moisturizer, plus it brightens! This is replacing the Olay moisturizer as my daytime cream.
Drunk Elephant’s Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer – I got this from Sephora as my birthday treat and I couldn’t be more excited. Hello, Drunk Elephant is the GOAT! This cream is super hydrating and I’ve noticed it’s my skin looking smoother and more velvety! This is is replacing the Kiehls cream as my nighttime moisturizer.
