Just in time for the warmer weather, here’s are a few denim shorts currently at your local Target!
Anyone else having the most beautiful spring/early summer weather?! It is pure perfection right now in our nation’s capital, so you better believe mama’s busting out the shorts! Today I’m excited to be bringing you a denim shorts try-on from none other than Target! On this particular day, I only got to try-on a handful of in-store options (all under $18!) so I may do a secondary post with more because the selection is AMAZING! Ok, let me stop rambling and get to the review:)
For sizing reference, I’m 5’8″ with a pear-shaped frame. I’m currently a size 6/28/S-M.
Universal Thread High-Rise Raw Hem Shortie Jean Shorts in Black Wash – These were super comfortable with a bit of stretch. I really love the faded black color too, something different from the standard denim short. Personally, I thought they were a little too short for me otherwise these were cute! I recommend sizing up, I’m wearing an 8.
Universal Thread High-Rise Raw Hem Shortie Jean Shorts in Medium Wash – These are the same shorts as the above but in a medium wash. Again very comfortable but size up.
Universal Thread High-Rise Button Fly Double Cuff Jean Shorts in Olive – I almost walked away with these, they are soo good! Great stretch to the fabric and the color would a fun departure from the standard short. I was a big fan of the button fly, too! These are true to size, wearing an 8 here but could have gone down to a 6.
Universal Thread High-Rise Patch Pocket Midi Jean Shorts – These were another pair of shorts I really loved! The pockets are so fun and different, very 70s, don’t you think. They were a tad on the shorter side for me, I prefer a 4 inch inseam. I suggest sizing up, these run a little snug.
Universal Thread Mid-Rise Rolled Cuff Midi Jean Shorts – These were super soft and comfortable. I actually liked the mid-rise option in this try-on, it was nice to change things up. These would be a good dark wash denim shorts to have in your arsenal. These run true to size.
