Not in the ‘holiday spirit’ well at least not when it comes to dressing. Here’s why and a few words of encouragement for the New Year!

Wow, it’s officially December. When did that happen? No, really, when…how are we a mere four weeks away from 2019? I can’t quite tell if I’m ready for the New Year just yet but I’ll get back to you on that. I can say that I’m no too ecstatic about the holidays. Actually, let me amend that statement – I’m not too ecstatic about holiday dressing. And if you’re all like, “But Joanne, you don’t have to dress for the holiday season if you don’t want to,” to you I respond by saying that I like dressing for a good theme. I’m corny that way, have I not made that apparent?
To really make my point, you can catch all my holiday inspired outfits here. And did you catch last Wednesday’s special edition Shop With Me post? I’m telling ya, I like dressing with a theme in mind. While many of my #workwear outfits (which you can see on my Instagram Stories, in the “Shop my Instagram” page here on FabAve, or on my LiketoKnowit profile) will be seasonally appropriate for the most festive time of the year, I do have to warn you that that “holiday cheer” won’t really be spilling over into the upcoming outfits. That may change but as of now this is as close to #HolidayStyle as you’re gonna get.
Seeing as though I just posted about my hashtag goals for 2019, I wanted to leave you with this: There are 28 days left in 2018. According to research, it takes 21 days to form a habit and an estimated 66 days to create the habit. If you begin NOW developing a good habit for the New Year (reciting words of affirmation every morning, going to the gym, reading a daily devotional, eating healthier, etc.), imagine already conquering one of your goals/resolutions for 2019 in the second week of February. I implore you to MAKE MOVES NOW! Happy Monday!
