Podcasts have become a big part of my day. Tuning into my favorites and simply dedicating 20-60 minutes of my time is something I’ve started to look forward to. In a previous post I’d mentioned that I leverage my drive into work as podcast listening time. This is prime restate in my day and I’m happy to have started using that it to gain new knowledge of something I didn’t know before, listen to an uplifting message or for career growth. There’s seriously a podcast for any and all topics. I thought it would be fun today to share my favorite podcast with y’all – sharing is caring! I’m also sharing a few reader recommendations below which I plan on subscribing to myself. If you have any additional podcast suggestion leave in the comments below!
My Favorite 3 Podcasts
This podcast really helped when I first started showing signs of depression. Alison (and Eric too!) discuss all types of topics and advice on discovering your own awesome potential. Each episode is deep and insightful yet Alison keeps the podcast light and fun with her charisma and humor. Whether Alison and Eric are covering entrepreneurship, parenting or conquering your to-do list, listeners leave the podcast feeling a little more motivated to take on the day.
This podcast is based on Gretchen Rubin’s bestselling book, The Happiness Project, and she is joined by her sister as the co-host. In each episode they share strategies for happiness in the everyday – from work to home and everything in between. They even take on reader questions and give suggestions on how they would approach different situations so that you come out happier on the other side.
I think we can all agree that Oprah can do no wrong and her podcast is no exception. Super Soul Conversations is the audio version of Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday show, where interviews people from different walks of life who have experienced life changing situations. Through each interview, the guests share their insights as they’ve found their purpose and direction through their circumstances. There have been so many great guest and I’ve almost always had an “aha moment” at each episode. I highly suggest tuning in to the Brene Brown episodes first (there are 2), they are amazing!
