A look at my latest Fall try-on session at affordable powerhouse, Walmart!
Y’all really enjoy these try-on sessions and I love that because I do too! For today’s, come join me in a Walmart dressing room. People sleep on Walmart and I don’t know why. Sure, it’s Target’s less attractive cousin, but you can almost always find gems there! I especially love their active wear line, Avia, and constantly get asked where my fun leggings are from – ahem, WALMART! I recently did a try-on of some of their Fall pieces and they didn’t disappoint. Read on for my thoughts and to see what came home with me!
For sizing reference, I’m 5’8″ with a pear shape frame. I’m typically a S/M up top depending how I prefer the fit and wear 6-8/M for bottoms.
This dress was pretty cute and there are tons of different colors and prints offered! I sized up to medium in the blue and red plaid and belted it for a different look but tried on a small in the black and white print. This dress runs true to size depending on how you’d like to style it.
The jacket is jackpot, and at the price (under $25!) you can’t beat it. The quality is great and I like how structured it is. I almost snagged it up but I have a very similar rain jacket so I couldn’t justify the purchase, otherwise this dress is a winner! Runs true to size, I’m wearing a medium.
I loved these booties, and almost got them if it were for the fact that I own a similar pair I love. The block heel made them super comfortable and I love the color of tan. Note these are a faux suede. Runs true to size.
Y’all already know this sweater came home with me, I haven’t stopped talking about it on Instagram Stories! The weight is substantial and it’s super cozy. The length is perfect for leggings but you can still tuck in to denim, like I did here. This sweater runs true to size, I’m wearing a small.
Color me impressed! This hoodie was really cozy and warm and I loved the fit. It also comes in a few colors and at only $10 this is a good buy! If you want a roomier fit size up, I’m wearing a small here.
I was actually impressed to find button-fly denim at Walmart however the wash wasn’t my favorite. They were long enough to roll up, which I liked, and they were super stretchy like a true jegging. The sizing is juniors so you need to consider that. I’m wearing a size 9 and these fit like a woman’s 8.
Crewneck Raglan Sleeve Pullover Sweatshirt
This was another sweater I really liked! The material is like a velvet and it comes in a few different colors and prints, including floral. Fit is TTS, I’m wearing a small here for a fitted look.
People have been obsessing over these henley’s lately but this isn’t the first year Walmart sold them. I purchase a few every year because the price just can’t be beat. The lasting power is a little iffy, I typically have to buy a few about every Fall/Winter season, so take that into consideration depending how often you’ll be wearing. But this is a great seasonal staple to have on hand especially for under $10! If you want something fitted go with your regular size, otherwise size up a size for more room.
This cardigan was a great find! The quality is substantial and the color is a great neutral. For $20 I highly suggest adding this wardrobe staple to your closet! Fit is TTS, I’m wearing a small.
Open Front Slim Fit Plaid Blazer Jacket
Looking to try the plaid blazer trend but not willing to drop the bucks? This one’s for you! I was really impressed with the quality for the price. Note, it comes with rouched sleeves which I liked. Runs true to size, I’m wearing a medium.
Another piece I was pleasantly surprised with! The quality is pretty good and it comes in a few other colors perfect for the season include maroon, navy, olive and cream. Fit is true to size, I’m wearing a small.
I’m not an off-the-shoulder fan so this piece wasn’t my favorite. It comes in several different colors and the fabric was super soft. I would recommend sizing up, I’m wearing a small and wished it was a little looser in the mid-section and the shoulder area.
Open Front Cardigan
I’m not going to lie, I’m a little bitter that I can’t find this gem online. This cardigan definitely went home with me. I would describe this color to be a pumpkin spice but it also came in maroon and black. I would highly suggest searching in-store for this cardigan, it’s so good and cozy.
