3 Easy Tips to Mixing Prints

1// Pair like colors. Keeping an outfit within a color scheme is an easy way to mix and match prints. You can pair different prints within the same color family to keep it fairly neutral or you can use complementary colors to play off of each other.

2// Balance is key. Pairing a large print with a smaller print creates balance within your outfit. In this outfit I am styling a floral skirt against a small print stripe – it offsets any imbalance between the prints.

3// Leopard is always a neutral. It just is – no and’s, if’s or but’s about it. If you’re on the fence about mixing and matching prints, try pairing leopard print flats with a stripe top, this way the prints are far enough away from each other that this mismatch won’t be as apparent.

At the end of the day have fun with it! It’s fashion, there are no hard or fast rules as long as you feel great! You are supposed to have fun with personal style, so don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t quite work out the first time, just try again!
