Thoughts on the summer as it comes to a close plus a few things we’d like to get done this fall!
Not going to lie, this summer wasn’t quite as magical as I’d originally imagined. I had such high hopes but it all just fell short. Don’t get me wrong, there were plenty of great times had – our day trip to a local beach, first time bowling as a family and trying Topgolf – those were just a handful of the highlights from the summer. But because of all of the rain we had this season a lot of our plans didn’t happen, a perfect example being crossing off most of the summer fairs we wanted to attend. Instead, there were far more days spent indoors in front of the TV and way less time spent at the pool.
Truth be told, I’m pretty sure I self-sabotaged this summer right off the bat. Last summer was rough. I had worked so hard to get myself out of my depression that I jam-packed our schedules so well that much of that time I was on autopilot. For this year I planned on committing the family to ALL THE FUN THINGS but instead enjoy it from the other side of the dark gloom. Well, plans changed, rain dominated most of our weekends and we had to adjust. Looking back, it may not have been the best three months but it still contained a little magic of its own.
As summer officially comes to a close I’m gladly putting it in my rear view and stepping on the gas right into Fall! With that said, today I thought it would be fun to share some of the plans I have on the schedule for both my family and myself!
