Happy Wednesday, friends! For this installment of the Shop With Me series I visited my local Loft and scoped out the store for some of the cutest pieces for summer! I also targeted items that would seamlessly integrate into a work wardrobe for the 9-5 fashionista! For size reference, I’m 5’8″ with a pear shape frame. I typically a S/M up top and wear 8/M for bottoms.
The fit of these khaki’s is impeccable! They seriously fit like a dream – not too tight but also hugging the right curves! I’m not one for khaki’s but these changed my mind. I LOVE the stripe detail and like how they add a modern twits to a classic wardrobe staple. These would be great for a more lax work environment or a Casual Friday in a corporate setting. The fit is true to size, I am wearing a size 8.
I’d seen a ton of bloggers rave about his sleeveless sweater but for good reason! The fit is comfortable without being shapeless or bulky which I appreciate for the office. The material is super soft and breathable which make sweater wearing during the summer actually possible. A styling tip for the cooler months: pair under a blazer for a warm yet polished look! Fit is true to size, wearing a small.
As soon as I zipped up this skirt I knew instantly it had to be mine! The jewel tone of the green is so beautiful and the eyelet detail keep the look light and airy. The hem length is perfect for an office atmosphere but this skirt can totally be dressed down with a pair of Chucks, a graphic tee and a denim jacket! Runs a little big, I’m wearing a medium but probably could have sized down.
Striped Mixed Media Sleeveless Sweater
Another great summer sweater for the closet that can be pulled into Fall and Winter too! I absolutely adore the layered look of this sweater – without the effort. Another cute detail is that the back hem is a little longer so it can be an easier topper with classic black trouser and pumps for the office, or dark wash skinny jeans and sandals for the weekend. The fit is true to size, I’m wearing a small.
When you stumble upon sailor inspired skinny jeans on sale – you just can’t say no! I love the dark wash of these because they can be worn for Casual Friday’s in a corporate environment, or during the week for those that have a more casual office job. These are the perfect high-rise and the denim is super stretchy without being loose. Fit is true to size, I’m wearing an 8.
I have been eyeing this skirt for the last few months, it’s just so cute and perfect for the office! I love that the marled fabric keep it light for the summer but the material can be worn well into Fall and Winter. It has an elastic waist so I would recommend sizing down. I’m wearing a small but tried the medium and that fit okay too.
This sweater tank was another piece I’d seen a lot of blogger talk about which makes sense because how cute is the eyelet details?!? The answer is: SO CUTE! Again, the sweater material is soft and the eyelet is just darling! Unfortunately they didn’t have my size in store (this was in the sale section) so I’m wearing a medium here. I’d suggest sizing down for a tighter fit.
Striped Crossover Back Flare Dress
The crisscross back detail of this dress is a-dorable! The material is super stretchy and comfortable, too. I almost snatched this up but I wasn’t a fan of the print which is a shocker because stripes but I would have loved this in a floral, or even a solid color. The fit is true to size, I’m wearing a small.
I’m kicking myself a little for not grabbing this dress. Isn’t she a beaut! The magnolia print is just darling and the fit is perfection! I love that it isn’t too short but still appropriate for the 9-5. Also, pockets! Fit is TTS, I’m wearing an 8.
A jumpsuit, shocker! The neckline of this one is so cute and different than what I’ve seen, and the floral print is so strategic and delicate. I love that this jumpsuit can be worn to the office with a blazer or even a cardigan and still look chic! It has an elastic waist and the belt is removable. For reference, I’m wearing a medium so this is true to size.
Daisy Tie Waist Wide Leg Jumpsuit
Another jumpsuit, I mean are you surprised?! The print of this one is so cute, I love it soo much! Like the other jumpsuit, this one has an elastic waist and a removable belt too. I think the sizing on this one is off, I’m wearing a medium but the crotch area seamed tight. I’d say if you have a bigger butt to be cautious about the size and go up a size. Otherwise, true to size.
