Shop With Me Vol.12

Anyone else loath trying on/buying shorts? Please tell me I’m not the only one in this. The main reason I have an issue finding suitable shorts is because they have to fit my lifestyle. I don’t have time to pick my wedgie out every five minutes; I also have to be able to run after my kids and pick up a wailing 30lb child without have my butt check pop out at the park. Trust me when I say it has happened.

Last summer I was rocking the maternity shorts comfortably, but this year I’m not allotted that luxury. I recently headed to my local Target for a quick peak at some of their denim short options and decided a try-on was in order. I think other women had the same idea, because my stored was picked pretty clean, but here are just a few of the ones I tried on.

For size reference, I’m 5’8″ with a pear shape frame. I typically wear a size 8 in shorts.

I actually own these in both the light wash and dark wash shades. These are great and hug my curves perfectly! I love that they are high-waist and have a frayed hem. I think you can size down if you wanted to because I’m wearing a size 6 here (they didn’t have my size) and they were still comfortable, but I own them in my regular size.

This pair was okay but they seemed like they would stretch out as the day went on. The material was super stretchy and comfortable and I like that they were mid-rise. I only wish they had a 5″ inseam instead of a 4″. True to size.

I really liked these and almost snagged them but prefer a longer inseam (have have a 3″ inseam). The fabric was really breathable and a pair of shorts like these would be great because they can be dressed up or down. I would recommend sizing up, I though these were a little snug.

Another really cute pair of shorts! I love the drawstring and that these were light and airy. The fabric was flouncy and breathable which is a plus for VA humidity. I’m considering going back to my local store an grabbing these! True to size.

Not gonna lie, I’m waiting for these to go on sale! I love the loose fit of these shorts and that they had a drawstring. The fabric is really breathable and comfy – I really recommend these! They come in gray and olive. These come in S,M,L and XL. I’m wearing a medium so they are true to size.

I thought I was going to hate these but I was pleasantly surprised! I loved the Bermuda style and the distressing isn’t as overwhelming as I’d originally thought they were going to be. I also like how they sucked me in without being uncomfortable. I’m also waiting on these to be on sale before I snag a pair! These run true to size.

FYI – This pair isn’t from Target but I own them and LOVE them! They are the perfect mom shorts.
