A few weeks ago I headed to the Loft by my job during lunch and snuck in a quick try on session. There are so many great transitional pieces right now, it’s amazing! I couldn’t help but to sneak away with a few items for myself, and it didn’t help that I had a gift card, but here are just a few of my favorite pieces.

For size reference, I’m 5’8″ with a pear shape frame. I am typically a S/M up top and wear 8/10 on bottom.

Blossomed Tassel Dress ($49.50 – on sale!)

The style of the dress just spoke to me – so very bohemian like! The print, delicate ruffles and sweet chiffon material had me all emoji heart eyes, until I tried it on. This stunner was far too short on my 5’8″ frame. And I’ve got curves? It just didn’t work. If you are shorter, however, this is a great dress. The fit is true to size.

Bandana Wide Leg Jumpsuit ($49.50 – on sale!)

This piece was probably my favorite piece of the bunch, I love a good jumpsuit! The material was light and breathable which would be great for the really hot summer days. But pairing it with a denim jacket and some booties would be great for spring, too! I love that the straps were a wide so it could be paired with a normal bra. I would recommend sizing down since it had a stretchy smocked back.

Flutter Belted Flare Dress ($49.50 – on sale!) 

Another absolutely beautiful piece! The fluttery hem and sleeve detail was simply adorable. I also love the belt which can be tied up a few different ways. This piece would be great for 9-5 or cocktails, it’s a great all around dress and I’m a little sad I didn’t take it home with me. Fit true to size.

Kaleidoscope Wrap Skirt ($69.50)

I kinda knew this skirt wouldn’t work but I really wanted to give it a shot. The elasticized tie waist was a cute touch and the material was really soft but something about the style didn’t work on my frame. Fits true to size.

Wide Leg Crop Pants in Bandana Mosaic ($69.50) So these are meant to be cropped but on me they were a little long but not quite long enough to be pants – it was odd. The print was really cute and the material was light but I couldn’t get passed the hem length. The fit is true to size.

Pleated Bell Sleeve Top ($54.50) 

Another great item! The fabric is super soft and the fun metallic threading of the embellished sleeves is such a winner. This is a great versatile piece to have on hand for times when you don’t necessarily want to try but still want to look fantastic. The fit is true to size.

Wide Leg Crop Jeans (no longer available – on sale)

I have been on the hunt for black denim wide leg jeans and by-golly I found them! The material was buttery soft and they fit like a glove. I think they were from the fall which is why they were on sale for like $15?! If you happen to find them in store I’d suggest sizing down, I went down to a size 6.

Chenille Flare Sleeve Open Cardigan ($35.70 – on sale!)

I’m pretty sure Loft tired to recreate the chenille sweater from the fall that sold out quick but no dice. I thought the fit was strange and didn’t like the flared sleeves. The material was really soft however and the color was dreamy. The fit depends on how you want it to drape.

Camellia Garden Shirtdress ($49.50 – on sale!) 

The perfect transitional spring dress! I absolutely adore the color combo of pink and green and the material is so delicate and soft. The flounce hem is sooo darling, everything about this dress is so sweet. With the current weather I’ll be pairing her with a long duster cardigan and booties but come spring and summer it’s all about block heels or easy sandals! Fits true to size.
