I think we can all agree that it’s been FOREVER since I shared a beauty post! Since I discontinued the BOXYCHARM Review series, beauty focused posts somehow fell to the wayside. But don’t you worry, I still continued to test out products and add to my beauty and skincare arsenal. Because a post like this one is long overdue, today I thought it might be fun to share a few of my recent beauty-centered purchases. Whether its been purchased within the last few weeks or the last few months, here’s a look at some of the products I’m currently loving.
// Chi Travel Kit – I’m on the hunt for a new shampoo & conditioner combo and thought I’d give this a try. In addition to the usual suspects, this kit also included the Silk Infusion serum and an Iron Guard heat protectant spray. Candidly, I’m on the fence about both the shampoo & conditioner, and maybe even the heat protectant spray BUT the serum is gold! That’s something I’ll be repurchasing on its own, for sure.
// Dr. Brandt’s Pores No More Luminizer Primer – I actually received this in a BOXYCHARM box and this product has definitely become a daily staple to my beauty routine. It adds a subtle “glow from within” radiance to the face that is just beautiful. If you’re looking for moisture, however, this product doesn’t do the trick by itself. I’d suggest also using a daily moisturizer, which is what I do.
// GLAMGLOW Clearing Treatment Mini (Not pictured) – I totally spaced and didn’t include this in the snap, but this mask is as good as everyone says it is. It leaves your skin smooth and bright and has a little tingle to it during application.
// It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream – I’m not gonna lie, I’m not a big foundation wearer so I was hesitant to try this because I wasn’t looking for something that was as heavy as the typical foundation BUT boy did this product surprise me! Very lightweight and buildable enough to be full coverage, if that’s what you’re looking for. I also love that it is SPF 50!
// LAVANILA Sport Luxe Deodorant – So it seems like the whole world is ditching products with harmful chemicals, and I get it – that stuff is bad for you – but as a result, the world (i.e. social media) is making me feel bad about it. NOT COOL. So I’ve ditched my deodorant, which contains aluminum, and got this one with this all-natural one. I don’t know how I feel about it yet, as I’m a sweater, but I don’t out-right hate it so there’s that. It does smell heavenly tho!
// Living Proof Travel Size Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo – I’ve heard so many great things about this dry shampoo that I had to try if for myself. Unfortunately I don’t quite get the hype. I don’t know if I noticed it suck up my oils after application, I was too busy trying to hide the white streaks! I don’t think this product rubs in well; I don’t know, I could be doing it wrong.
// Pixi Beauty Bronzer – This is probably my favorite product of the bunch – so freakin’ good! I will never use another bronzer again. It’s the perfect undertone for my yellowish skintone, not too ashy and NO SHIMMER! Hands down the best bronzer I’ve ever tried.
// Philosophy’s Renewed Hope In A Jar Daily Moisturizer – This stuff smells amazing and leaves the skin feeling supple and ready for makeup application. I don’t know if I’ve noticed anything different with my skin texture, however.
// Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Overnight Moisturizer – Funny enough, I like the nightly version more than the daily moisturizer. This product leaves my skin feeling amazing and I think I’ve noticed my face being less greasy in the morning. This moisturizer also smells great!
