It’s around this time every year that I get stuck in a style rut. The holidays are long gone, it’s cold, dreary and spring is nowhere in sight. It’s so depressing, y’all. To get me through, I try to utilize my wardrobe effectively while not adding new winter clothing. Instead, I try to infuse pieces from my already existing Spring wardrobe to fake my way out of the funk.

I’m convinced layering is one of my Love Languages so during this time of pure winter dread, I layer like it’s my job. One of my favorite ways is by pairing thick, cozy fabrics, and this cardigan/scarf combo is giving me all the feels! The material of this long cardigan is perfect because it’s not super chunky but keeps you nice and warm. This infinity scarf is fulfilling its purpose, and y’all already know how I feel about this dress (have it in two colors)!

To finish off the look, my current favorite trend – the newsboy hat, and my trusty riding boots for an added layer of warmth. I love the contrast of the added pop of brown against the black, white and gray combo. It’s unexpected without clashing.

I hope y’all are having a good week! This girl over here is happy that the expected snow for the week has turned into rain. I’m not ready for it, the snow that is, and will be perfectly happy if we don’t have any snow for the remainder of the season. Spring, are you almost here?
