As I mentioned on my InstaStories (you should totally be following!), fellow DMV blogger, Katie of A Touch of Teal, was generous of enough to send me a few beauty products from an It Cosmetics PR mailer she received a few weeks ago. Because she was sent the entire shade range of the Fall collection, there was an excess of products she wasn’t going to be using – enter me. I couldn’t be more thankful that home girl was kind enough to share the wealth. I love IT Cosmetics and swear by their Bye Bye Pores Setting Powder, so getting a chance to try more products from their upcoming line was pretty cool.
With that said, today I thought I’d share my thoughts on the products received. The good, the bad and the just-not-for-me. As a note, I’ve been using the products now for a good week and a half, so I think I’ve determined whether or not they will become staples within my beauty bag.
// Bye Bye Lines Foundation – Very hydrating and super lightweight, this foundation surprised me a lot. Online it says that it’s meant for all skin types and speaking from an oily skin gal, it kept up pretty nice. I received the shades medium tan and tan and think the medium tan works best.
// Bye Bye Breakout Concealer – This concealer is specifically for acne coverage which is pretty cool. “Color-infused skincare” is what the website says and I would have to agree. It’s lightweight and not as heavy as typical concealer so it would be great for acne. It’s also a little drying which is what blemishes need when their ripe. I haven’t used this product very much but will do so when I have a breakout.
// Bye Bye Redness Neutralizing Correcting Cream – Absolutely loving this concealer. Zaps redness like magic! I apply it around my nose which tends to get red throughout the day and the full coverage is really great. This one is a winner, for sure.
// Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer Pot – Another product that will forever be a staple in my makeup bag! The coverage is great and the formula is very nourishing and blendable. My only qualm is that you have to apply it with your fingers and that could get messy but I look past that.
// CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder – I love that this comes with SPF 50 and the formula is buildable so it can go from sheer to full coverage. I like to apply it after all my face makeup is on, kind of like a finishing powder. It’s so creamy too!
// Bye Bye Breakout Powder – This was probably my least favorite product in the bunch. It is a very pigmented powder, and I wasn’t expecting that, so I ended up with a giant spot on my face. The shade I got, medium tan, was actually too dark too. It may work as a bronzer but that’s weird, right?
