I’m in this interesting place when it comes to the relationship I have with my body. I acknowledge that there is room for improvement yet I feel really comfortable in my own skin and know that this body is more than just a body. It’s a vessel, it’s a home, it’s birthed two children! And it’s more than all that – it’s the only body that God has graciously given me. Let’s take a moment to let that sink in. That body you’ve got there, the one that you might’ve said some pretty cruel things to this morning is a gift. A GIFT. So I’m doing things a little differently than most and I’m loving it – real hard. For every stretch mark, thigh dimple, and every other stupid insult I’ve given it. And I encourage you to do the same.
But let me take it a step further and extend that body confidence to how I dress it. As a society we are often instructed to wear clothes to ‘flatter’ our body types. Gah, I hate that BS so much. What does that even mean? Why is society telling me what’s flattering? I’m pretty sure I could figure that out on my own. Can’t the confidence we have in the way we look be enough to dress it the way we want to? Yeah I think so, don’t you?

So along with the good vibes and body positivity I’m sending out in the world today, I also want to prompt you to dress your body in a way that will make you feel fantastic, like the bad ass goddess that you are. So what are we doing today (and from here on out for that matter)? Repeat after me: We are going to be confident in what you’re wearing! That may mean trying a new trend or even wearing an old favorite. At the end of the day I just want you to rock what you want to wear and eff society!
