BOXYCHARM Review & Unboxing – June 2017

Happy Thursday and welcome to another edition of my BOXYCHARM Review & Unboxing! The June box was dubbed Downtown Charm and came complete with some pretty great products! I do have to preface that comment with the fact that there were some items that were straight out duds, but read more on my thoughts below.

Artist Couture’s Diamond Glow Powder (full size – 26.99) I feel like I can’t really say bad things about this product because it does provide some great payoffs but I do think it’s targeted to the people that don’t mind a glittery highlight. And unfortunately this girl right here does. I received my powder in the shade Gold Digger and while it packs a punch, it’s far too unwearable for me.
Biobelle Cosmetics 3 Sheet Masks (full size – 14.97) I think I was most excited about these sheet masks! Skincare is my love language, y’all. I received an skin elasticity one, a glow one and one for hydration. I haven’t tried any yet but I plan to do a mini facial this weekend;) Will report via IG Stories.
Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Pro Precision Tapered Face Brush (full size – $24) I’m a big Luxie Beauty fan and we’ve received their brushes before so I’m excited to grow my collection. I’ve been using this one to apply highlighter and love it.
Ofra Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick (full size – $19.90) I was so excited to get an Ofra liquid lipstick! Ofra has the best formula and the liquid lipsticks last a long time. I received the shade Santa Ana and finally be applying it soon. I keep forgetting to apply before work?!
RealHer Eye Shadow Palette (full size – $28) Three different palettes were sent out to Charmer’s and I got palette 2. I had high hopes for this product but there is no real color payoff. I do have to attest to the fact that the two days I did my eye makeup with this palette I received complements but it just takes so much work to blend and build up the colors. Some shades are great with fantastic creamy formula while others come off chalky. So it’s a give and take with this palette.

Total box value: $113.86

All in all, the June BOXYCHARM wasn’t that bad. I think most of my hangups had to do with preference versus quality. The palette is something I want to play with a little more before I completely write it off but the glow powder is a products that’s just not for me. Otherwise, I’m pretty pleased with this month’s box!
