Look y’all, I blogged! Apologies for the radio silence but life, ya know? I’ve been in a sort of style rut lately and have found it difficult to put outfits together that represent my personal style and my stage in life. Right now I think that’s “classic trendy” and “working mom”. However in the midst of my sartorial crisis I’ve found that the best way to dig myself out of this rut is to stick to a few wardrobe classics.
Running after a threenager while lugging around a 16+ pound almost 7-month old, it’s safe to assume that I have little time to myself, let alone time to get properly dressed in the mornings. Now that time is of greatest value, I’ve learned a few time-saving tips that allow me to be comfortable and stylish so that I can focus on the more important things in life.
First off, a flattering pair of jeans in a dark wash. You can’t see it from these snaps but Theo had spit up on my lap, twice, before these pictures were taken. Spills and stains didn’t have a chance! Also, an ultimate closet classic like a denim jacket is easy to throw on and gives my basic outfit an instant boost. A chic way to wear a Canadian Tuxedo, if you ask me. Lastly, stripes! Why, because stripes are always the answer. This stripe top actually has ruffle sleeves! Psst, it also on major sale;)
