BOXYCHARM Review & Unboxing – January 2017

In all honesty, I’m not quite sure how I feel about the first BOXYCHARM box of the new year. Sure it has tons of luxurious, quality products but the products included weren’t ones I would have ever chosen for myself. Read on to see what came inside…

English Laundry Signature Roller Ball (deluxe size – $25) This perfume is very different than most scents I prefer but I like none the less, which caught me completely off guard. I tend to gravitate towards fresh, laundry scents but this one is musky with woody undertones and a hint of citrus. It’s strangely become a go-to.

Gorge Amazing Konjac Sponge (full size – $18) I’ve never used a konjac sponge before but I gotta say, I won’t ever live without one again! Meant to gently exfoliate and balance the acidity of the skin, this product leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean and super soft.

PUR Mineral Glow Bronzer (full size – $25) Now this is where the box started to loose me. While I absolutely love the golden shade on my yellow to olive complexion, I really don’t like that the bronzer has specs of glitter. The formula is creamy and rich but I don’t know if I could get passed the hints of reflective shimmers. I want to use a little more before I decided to pass along to my sister.

So Susan Fan Brush (full size – $18.95) I have a thicker fan brush in my collection but didn’t realized I needed a more dainty one until I received this product. Gah, I love! Made with synthetic nylon hairs, this brush applies highlight beautifully.

Vintage Highlighter Double (full size – $35) Charmers received the Vintage Illuminating Face Highlighter in the November box and even then I was ‘eh’ about the product. I’m not one for overly shimmery highlighters and these are definitely shimm-er-y. I already know I don’t like the ‘rose quartz’ color but the ‘chocolate diamond’ shade might be one that I will eventually love. I’ll report back.

Total box value: $121.95

As previously noted, this box came packed with quality products but the bronzer and the highlighter duo weren’t really for me. However 3 out of the 5 products were winners in my book so I have to consider it a win, right? Right!
