I’m sad to be leaving my little guy behind come Monday. These last two months have flown by and each day I have fallen in love with Mr. Theodore just a little bit more. He’s such a ray of sunshine and brings so much joy to our home. I already can’t imagine our lives without him. He’s our little champ!

Routine: Just as we start to develop some semblance of a routine I have to go back to work. I’m hoping that those helping me care for Theo while I’m at work will continue the little scheduled we’ve created. It’s working so well for us and has even helped our sleeping schedule during the night.
Napping/Sleeping: I’ve learned that the better Theo naps during the day, the better he sleeps at night. Something to do with restlessness, I think. I also think we’ve figured out a little system. He’s getting better at not needing to nap/sleep on me but we’re still a ways away until an easy transition from body to bed is made. A work in progress my friends, and one I hope we master soon.
At night he is sleeping rather well, 4 to 5 hour stretches of sleep time between feedings. We are still co-sleeping but I’m okay with this for now. While I do have a few products that have made putting Theo to sleep easier, I am still trying different strategies to make things run smoother for us all. We recently started using this and it has done wonders!
Eating: I have finally extended his feeding schedule to every three hours during the day – praise! He is taking a 4 oz bottle of breast milk and only occasionally do I replace a bottle with formula. Because he is sleeping pretty well at night, I typically nurse him 2 or 3 times.
Growth/Health: Mr. Theo weighs 11 pounds 6 ounces and is 23 ½ inches long. He weighs less than Remy did at this time but I’m not comparing the two. He did get 2 shorts during his 2 month check-up and the poor guy did not like the pain, as expected. He was fussy for the remainder of the day, which was difficult but we survived.
An update from his one month post – Theodore’s baby acne has cleared up! The prescription cream worked wonders. Also, his reflux is still acting up. It’s my fault that I stopped giving him the medicine the doctor prescribed, so I’m going to start that up again. It was working for the time I was giving it to him so at least I know it works.
Social:
- Smiles often and his giggles make the world go round
- Has found his hands and would rather have those in his mouth than his pacifier
- Has the sweetest little coo’s and is really talkative
- Likes to get his nose poked, he thinks that’s hilarious and it guarantees a smile
- Adores Remy and pretty much laughs everytime she plays with him
