Six weeks in and we are still figuring out how to put Theodore to bed at night without co-sleeping. Thankfully the little guy is giving me longer stretches of sleep at night, feeding every 3-4 hours, but those stretches of sleep still don’t ease my mom anxiety. I swear I peek into his bassinet every 15 minutes to make sure he’s breathing. You’d think my nerves would be more settled with baby number 2 but no, I’m still on high alert. Well that was until I received the Owlet Baby Monitor.
Not your average baby monitor, Owlet has changed the game in the monitoring industry. It supervises a child’s heart rate and oxygen levels, and alerts you if they stop breathing. Trust me when I say that I rest a lot easier knowing that hospital grade technology is watching over my baby boy. I love that I can simply login to the Owlet app on my phone and check Theo’s vitals without disturbing his sleep.
Another thing this tired mama is grateful for is the fact that my little dude is an excellent daytime napper and I give all the credit to our Nested Bean Zen Swaddle! The weighted center of the Zen Swaddle mimics touch so that Theo thinks I’m still in constant contact with him while he sleeps. If you follow me on Snapchat (username: joannealma) then you saw how the Zen Swaddle calmed him down, and in a matter of minutes he was asleep – it was like baby magic!
Parenthood helps develop a seventh sense to parents – you’re on constant alert so sleeping often takes a back seat. However with the help of a few stellar products, you don’t have to sacrifice your rest for your tiny tot. Both the Owlet Baby Monitor and the Nested Bean Zen Swaddle have been life changers at Casa de Mason. I can’t rave enough about these products and appreciate that both Theo and I are getting better sleep because of them.

A special thank you to Owlet Baby Care and Nested Bean for gifting us these products. As always, all opinions are my own. I only work with companies and brands I truly love and support.
