Bilingual Books and Apps for Toddlers – Los Pollitos

Early on we made sure reading to Remy was of importance and incorporated into her nighttime routine. Our book collection for her is quite extensive and I’m proud to say it is also educational! One thing I’ve made sure to include in the collection are books that can be read both in English and in Spanish.

As a Hispanic mother, I’m constantly trying to find a good balance for teaching Remy about her culture in a way that she’ll understand and enjoy.

A company that offers bilingual books and products is Canticos.

Canticos brings bilingual nursery rhymes to life with reversible novelty board books with one side in Spanish and an English language translation on the other. We’ve recently added ‘Los Pollitos/Little Chickies’ to Remy’s book collection and she loves the fun illustrations and the cute story of a mother’s unconditional love! I adore finding her in a corner skimming the pages and flipping through the interactive flaps and spin-wheel features, and secretly love when she ‘reads back’ a portion of the story in Spanish.

To complement the book, Cantitos also has a Youtube channel for families to watch a multilingual 3-D animated video of Los Pollitos and also offers an app, which is available in 8 languages and has a ton of creative interactive activities focusing on nurturing child development.

I love that this company is creating such great products for children. For every Canticos book purchased, they donate a portion of the proceeds to preschool programs across the U.S. to help low-income families in need. Also, during Hispanic Heritage Month they are currently giving away the Los Pollitos app for FREE!

A special gracias to Canticos for gifting us the

Los Pollitos book and app free of charge. As always, all opinions are my own. I only work with companies and brands I truly love and support.
