While this last month’s BOXYCHARM was
full of products to get subscribers ready for summer, unfortunately I thought
it was a dud hence why it’s so late. Titled, “Girls Just Wanna Have Sun” (kitschy!) it was just not my cup of tea. Let’s just hop into the
review portion of this post, shall we?
- Girlacktic Precise Eyeliner Marker (full size – $20) I’ve heard a lot of
good things about this brand and I definitely understand why. Complete with a
felt-tip marker the pigment is spot on and the formula is really long lasting. This
was one of the few products in the box that I enjoyed.
- Cougar Beauty Mineral Face & Body Shimmer (full size – $16) I do like how fine the
mineral shimmer is but then again it’s shimmer. Not for me. It distributes
beautifully but also transfers to clothing and anything you may touch way too
easily. This product is far too messy for me
- OFRA Oil Control Pressed Powder (full size – $39.95) I’ve got my share
of oil control powders so I was initially excited when I received this product.
However I’d have to give it a thumbs down. The powder was not fine enough and I
found myself blotting throughout the day to combat the oil that was peeking
through my makeup.
- FARMACY Coconut Gel Mask Melody (full size/three pack – $24) Perhaps my
favorite product in this month’s box, these masks leave your skin feeling
hydrated and super soft. As a note, this item was exclusive to BOXYCHARM.
- LVX Nail Lacquer (full size – $18) Subscribers
have received LVX polish before so as far as formula goes I knew that the
quality was good. Gel-like quality and free of harsh chemicals the periwinkle
shade was beautiful, however I’m not a big fan of pastel polishes.
Total box value: $117.95
I’m sad to say I’d give this box a 4 out of 10.
There just weren’t enough products that I loved, or even liked. I really hope
the folks at BOXYCHARM step up their game for July.
