As I’m working on this post I’m also watching Miss Congeniality, so my mind is wandering and not focused on describing this outfit from mid-December. Sure, I can talk about styling a faux fur vest or the last time I wore this dress but that’s predictable and it’s 2016 so let’s ditch predictable!
I started thinking about how beauty pageants are a lot like fashion blogging. Think about it – how one looks has more weight on what someone has to offer. It’s shallow, it’s vein and if you have nice hair you’re in the top 10. But then there are those few bloggers that have great style and produce great content. They are funny, engaging and gorgeous to boot! Whether it’s on fashion, blogging or life – those bloggers are the Miss Congeniality of the blogospher. A few of mine include Kendi, Fran and Alissa. If I were ever to create a Taylor Swift-like blogger girl crew these ladies would be in it.
