Thirty, Flirty and Thriving

I think it’s only natural to become introspective when you turn another year older. But since starting the blog, this time of the year really means a lot to me. Not only is today my birthday but last week Fabulously Average celebrated a birthday of sorts as well. Four years ago I decided to put myself out there and create a blog that would eventually become hobby, a vehicle to gain friendships from across the country and a source of inspiration not only for others but for myself, too.

Both in life and in blogging, I’ve learned a lot and made tons of mistakes along the way. Blogging has helped mold me these last couple of years and in a sense, define the person I’ve become. It’s weird to say that because it’s merely a hobby, however it’s one that’s helped me come out of my shell, take risks, not take crap from others and put into scope what my true priorities are. I don’t know how long I’ll keep blogging for but I do know that I’ll continue to do so until I’m tapped out of ideas and this little space of mine stops inspiring me.

I wanted to thank y’all. For coming by every couple of days and leaving sweet comments, for every now and again buying something I swear will change your life (I’m so dramatic!) and for always encouraging me to be a better blogger, which in turn encourages me to be a better human being. I truly appreciate your each and every one of you and couldn’t be more grateful for your continuous support. So here’s to the dirty 30 and to another year of blogging! Thirty, flirty and thriving!
