Budgeting Shopping

A February Spending Story

So I guess this is a new series, huh? While last month I did a ton of shopping, this month I tried – operative word – to rein in the spending. Was I successful? Eh, I’m not sure but I did spend a little less money in February so there’s that.

Total Spent:$64.22 (saved:$24.76)

Gifts*:

I didn’t spend much in the month of February, which is good, but truth be told I really feel like I’m forgetting an item or two. Last month I was better at keeping track of my purchases, this month not so much. But then again, I big chunk of my shopping  was done at the beginning of the month, so this well in fact could be right on.

So the faux leather cognac jacket (worn here) is probably my MVP (most valuable purchase) of the month because I’ve been on the hunt for one ever since I saw Audrey sporting one on her blog. I can’t find mine online but Target has one for under $35 I’m loving. The graphic tee (worn here) just belonged in my closet cause if you know me well, I love myself a good graphic tee! The animal print cardi (worn here) was a total impulse buy but for under $10 I’ll get my ROI in no time. And lastly, the long cardigan (worn here) was a early Spring purchase I’m sure to get tons of wear of before warm weather actually arrives.

An additional gifts section will be included if I receive something either by the fella or via a brand/sponsor. I figured that by including other items I may be receiving outside my budget, you’ll still be seeing an accurate depiction of what is being added to my wardrobe. Both the gray heels and the gray boots (worn here) were Valentine’s Day gifts from the hubby. I’ve been hinting at the fact that I’ve wanted to add gray footwear to my shoe collection and the boy apparently got the hints!
