Sometimes I’m convinced that we are all who we were in middle school. Like that version of ourselves is engraved in our souls forever. In middle school I was as awkward as they come. Uni-brow, tall & lanky before tall & lanky was cool and I was very insecure. Often times I revert back to that insecure little girl. Especially when it comes to blogging. There are just so many talented women out there in the blogging community, it’s hard not to play the comparison game every couple months.
Thank goodness for high school though! I was a completely different person and one of the times I think I was the realist version of myself. When I’m feeling down and insecure I like to envision the high school me. Brazen, daring and looking to prove others wrong. As Dr. Seuss would say, “Today you are You that is truer than true. There is no one alive that is youer than You.” So let’s embrace all versions of our selves today, shall we?
