The Power of a Good Edit

photo IMG_8790_zps5mlss3rd.jpg

I had originally planned to pair this animal print cardigan (on major clearance!) with my F21 printed pajama/harem pants (worn here) but decided against it at last minute. You see in theory the look worked – it had all the elements of a great play on patterns (stay tuned for my guide to print mixing!) but would have been far too overwhelming for the civilian eye. And by civilian I mean non-bloggers that don’t get the whole fashun thang, like my husband. As a blogger it’s sometimes hard to not go overboard when editing an outfit. You want a look to be blog-worthy but you also don’t want to look like a clown. If I had gone with Plan A I would have looked like a clown. Anyways, I actually really like this look better. It’s easy, yet fun and way more comfortable than it looks. A ponte blazer. Get one!
