As women, I’m convinced that we thrive within a pack. Like wolves, we are social animals that frequently consider those in our pack our family. Often times if we’re lucky, sometimes those in our inner circle are family. I love when I’m among those I consider my besties and we could chat it up as if no time has passed. You’d be surprised at the wide range of subjects we cover when we’re together. And the best part is that we come from all walks of life, bringing different advice and opinions to the table, so you get various perspectives. I thought today I’d share reasons why girlfriends are an essential part of life, because truth be told they truly are.
They keep you humble. A true girlfriend will never lie to you and will be honest even if it hurts. We all need that one friend in our lives that is brutally honest with us, especially when we need it most.
They laugh at the same stupid shit you do. We’ve all got our weird quirks and while your bestie may not share the sames one’s you do, they sure as hell will be laughing right there next to you so that you don’t feel like the only weirdo in the room.
They love you when you’re not lovable. In the ups and in the downs, a true friend will stick by your side even when you’re not the easiest person to be around.
They are like stars. They many not always be around but you know that they’ll always be there for you.
