I’m not a big fan of following fashion’s ‘rules’. No white after Labor Day? Sequin and sparkles only for the evenings? Never wear black and navy together? Let’s throw these ridiculous rules out the proverbial window, shall we? That very last rule, never mixing black and navy, is just so antiquated! News flash: rules are meant to be broken, especially this one! Both colors are neutrals thus making them free game when pairing them with other colors, especially each other.
Pro Tip: Nervous to try the trend? Try a subtle pairing of opaque black tights, a navy dress and equestrian-esque boots for chic, yet simple look perfect for Fall!
