I realize that I waited a little while to share these pictures when many have been anticipating this post (family and friends back home). My sincerest apologies; I didn’t take much pictures because I was too busy being present and enjoying the moment with my little family. But I was able to capture some moments and scenes from the very special weekend!
Both the morning of her birthday (Friday) and the day of the party (Saturday) Remy received a morning wake up call with a balloon filled crib and got serenaded Las Mañanitas. It was a tradition my siblings and I grew up with and something I knew I would continue on with my children. Remy seemed confused at first but soon decided that balloons were awesome and had a ball playing with them.
The day of the party everything went off pretty much without a hitch! Thankfully Remy got her nap in before people arrived so she was awake and ready to enjoy the afternoon! And she totally did! I think she subconsciously knew that it was her special day because home girl was on top of her game! She impressed with her walking, said hi to people as they arrived, clapped when anyone said ‘yay!’ and even had the cutest little tantrum (that lasted all but two seconds) while opening presents. That’s my little drama queen! It was such a great afternoon and those that were able to attend and celebrate with us only helped make that day special for Remy. But enough about the logistics, let’s get to the pictures!
A picture with Daddy! Both Remy and Kevin are wearing head to toe Old Navy. Remy’s shoes are from PayLess (cute similar).
Banner from Minted (c/o), faux flowers and pots from Michael’s.
Garland from The Pink Lemonade Designs (c/o), photos ordered from Artifact Uprising
Cupcakes made by me (!), cupcake stand via Michael’s, cupcake toppers from Minted (c/o)
Remy loved opening presents! Particularly the tissue paper that came along with the task!
Auntie JaNae reading one of Remy’s presents (First 100 Words book), which she has been obsessed with since!
Obligatory family picture! Remy was wondering why her shirt was taken off! Party hat via Little Blue Olive.
Someone seemed concerned about the possible fire that could have ensued;) Custom cupcake from Caketini.
‘Ah, this doesn’t tastes so bad!’
It was a really great day!
Be prepared for a follow up post that includes all the vendors used for the party details!
