Date Night

Since the fella’s parents were in town last week, we took full advantage and enjoyed a legitimate date night out. Complete with a movie, appetizers at half price, his and hers sake bombs, and a late night drive, the boy and I relished in the fact that we were spending quality time sans baby. It was rather nice to enjoy a night out on the town as husband and wife versus our typical roles as mommy and daddy, but it was also surreal. We might have called to check-in once or twice;)

With no curfew, no diaper bag, and no baby on board, I took advantage of the fact that I could wear anything for the night out. I went for a fun yet structured look that showed a lot of leg, and even sported an intricate braided up-do! Because I’m used to lugging around a massive tote bag I opted for the basics and left the handbag at home. My ID and lipstick fit perfectly in my shorts pockets without looking bulky and my phone was handed to the boy for safe keeping. All in all, I really loved my look (and so did Kev) and will be dreaming of our next date night. I wonder when we’ll get to enjoy another one.
