Over the last couple of months I’ve grown to love the color black. You may have noticed that I’ve been sporting a lot of black and white (exhibit A, B, C, and the latest D), and I was convinced that after Springs’ official arrival I’d bust out the colorful pieces that have been in hiatus for fall and winter, but then I spotted this dress at Old Navy and just had to have it. It’s obviously a classic staple but has a fun twist with the drop-waist flirty hem. How could I have said no? Exactly, I couldn’t have so this dress (and another equally as cute one) made its way home with me. Naturally I had to pair it with my comfy new slip-on sneakers (known as plimsoles in fancy-smancy circles) for a Sunday spent with the fam.  Ah, I live for the unexpected flare of everyday pieces.
