This week Fabulously Average celebrated its 2nd birthday! That’s 200+ outfit posts, 12 recipes (need to up that), and at least 125 sarcastic comments all in one place. That’s a lot of style and a lot of snark! It’s strange to think that I’ve been sharing my life, my style, and my cynicism for the past two years. While there have been days where I was ready to throw in the towel, I’m happy I’ve stuck with it and continued to share the things that I love. This past year was rather difficult for me – what with reaching a plateau in regards to blog growth and the discouraging feelings that come along with that, experiencing the emotional rollercoaster that is pregnancy, and the ongoing frustrations I’ve had and expressed about my work life – it’s been a rough one. But with the constant encouragement from readers, family, and friends I’m getting through it and feel like I will come out stronger on the other side.
After attending the Arizona Blogger Conference I’m excited for the new direction and the new confidence I have for both this blog and my life. I’m about to experience such an exciting (and stressful) time but I’m ready for it wholeheartedly. I feel like I have so much more to offer y’all and I’m eager for what this next year has in store. It’s like I’ve turned a corner and I’m ready to express and tell my story.
Fabulously Average is a lifelong evolution and I sense that my voice will be shifting with the changes that are about to take place in my life. This will continue to be a place where the average girl with the everyday budget can come and get inspired – that will never change – but FabAve will naturally be changing as I become a mother. I hope that you continue to come here to hear my stories, to watch my life and style evolve, and grow with me.
You’ve all become an extended family and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I cannot express how grateful I am for your continuous support and how special you make me feel on a daily basis. Here’s to another year of living a fabulously average life! Thank you! Gracias! Dankeschön!
This is how we celebrated last year🙂
