When the first day of Spring sprung up on me (ha, catch the pun?) I knew I wanted to sport an easy, fresh ensemble appropriate for the new season. I was hesitant to invest in maternity denim, as the coming seasons call for sweet dresses in florals, eyelets, and pastels but I figured if I was going to spend a little money on the quasi-essential item then I would be smart about it. I stocked up on three kinds: classic dark denim, pristine white, and a trendy mint pair. I’ve gotten great use out of the dark denim pair, styling them up with everything from belly skimming tanks to flowy empire waist tops but haven’t taken this pair out for a spin yet. Well that is until Wednesday.
I picked up this white pair from my local Old Navy and let me tell you, they’re awesome! A little roll and some cute summer espadrilles and I was good to go! I also picked up this chambray tee from ON. Isn’t it a fun twist on a classic? I bought it a couple sizes larger so that I could get great use out of it in the months to come but love that the silhouette keeps a woman’s figure in mind and is pinched in at the waist. A classy touch for a typically masculine piece.
