As I’m sure all you know, yesterday was the kickoff to New York Fashion Week with the much anticipated Fashion’s Night Out! While Phoenix might have been lacking in the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple, we did have our share of fantastic events hosted all across the valley. A couple of my fashionable blogger friends and I hopped from soiree to soiree taking in all the fun (and not so fun) fashion and the hottest trends of the season. Unfortunately this blogger slacked on her responsibilities and forgot her camera but thankfully for my trusty iPhone, I was able to capture the fashionable night.
I was a super eager fashionista last night, as this was my first go at FNO. Remember how I sadly declared last year that I was missing out on the festivities, well I was happy to turn that around this year. I first headed to Neimen Marcus at Scottsdale Fashion Square where I met up with local blogger Kristianne. We were greeted with many of Fall’s latest trends displayed all around the floor of the department store. Rich, vibrant jewel tones, lush, warm knits and an apparent trend of maroon and navy covered the displays. We got to chat it up with NM PR girl and Phoenix blogger Katherine and got to practice our poses with a fun photo shoot by Self Portrait Station.
Second stop of the night was Saks Fifth Avenue at the Biltmore in Scottsdale. Complete with an executive blogger lounge, a presentation on the latest Fall trends(which I unfortunately missed), and some of my favorite Phoenix bloggers, Saks had quite the spread. There were interactive booths at every corner on the Saks floor, from hair curling station to a makeup post, shoppers got to get pampered while they sipped on champagne and snacked on treats from California Pizza Kitchen and cakes from Ritzy Cakes. Once you made your way out to the center lawn, models were sporting the seasons trends of feminine silhouettes with masculine structure.
We ended out night at the Fashion’s Night Out after party hosted at the Saguaro Scottsdale in collaboration with the Phoenix Fashion Week team. The atmosphere called for the hip and trendy! There was a CUSP by Neiman Marcus pop-up shop and even a nail art station, where yours truly took advantage and had a little fun with a quick mani! I even got to meet relative TV star Arie from this past seasons The Bachelorette. Might I say, he was a major cutie.
All in all, it was a super fun and fashionable night for this fashionista! I’m thrilled to have taken part in the nationwide tradition. Last night only ramped me up for Phoenix Fashion Week in October. The countdown begins!
